A really made in Singapore film

Today went to have dinner at Tampines Mall Pizza Hut. Total cost about $70 paid by myself as a reward from the Video Competition prize to my family members.

Soon after that, at 7.30pm, we went to watch the movie '881'. Another film of Royston Tan. Well I think his film is really different from than Jack Neo. The story line and the way they present it. This film was well shot as the camera anger and the editing is very good. Also make the effort of creating 3D effect that enhance the film. Well done, nice show!

Early in the morning went to Bedok Reservoir for training preparation for tomorrow Master Series Race. Jogging around for warm up which used a long time of mine. Because we ran one round of the Reservoir and follow by the up down path, total distance about 8km+. Then we proceed to the easy set rowing after a moment of raining.

Well reach home, try to upload the 2 National Video for another competition from the South West CDC. Finally I uploaded it without error case. Well now is to gather as many people as possible to vote for the uploaded film from the Reel Time Productions.

NAFA Test + Medical Check-up + Fireworks shooting

This morning was my NAFA Test. Well after that in the afternoon straight away go to CMPB for Medical Check-up. Aiyo...the people over there very attitude and different station different attitude. Then the worst thing is the 200+ quiz. Wow....I the screen is full of text and text used won't attract you to see more. I guess a lot of people are sick of it. Terrible hours gone through.

Soon leaving from CMPB to the City Hall MRT station and meet my group of friends in the Reel Time Productions team. With the Video Camera and other equipments, we shoot the Fireworks at the Singapore River. Went there early to book a good spot for shooting. Then waited for the Fireworks for hours. Suppose to view it at 9pm, but due to the delay, the Fireworks were shown at around 9.30pm.

It were very nice and I enjoy the live moment!

Yesterday was a wrong thing I experience in my life as I helped one of my friends. The story start like that, she send a message to inform all members to attend a shoot someday but there was a negative reply back. Therefore she asked me for help and I helped her to form a message to reply. She saw the message and I ask her to read it for the agreement of herself before sending.

After a number of message, till we went home at different direction, it ended without anymore inform of reply. Today I met all of them and felt something wrong. Because the guy that is in yesterday conversation didn’t talk to me. All the way till the end of classes. I tested her ‘you tell him I help you message right’ and she said ‘aiya he already found out le’.

I am piss off at the moment and felt that I am being cheated. Yes, I agree that using her name and message the other person isn’t right, but she did check the message and agree with it before sending. She pressed the said button herself.

Let’s say if I never test her, this thing will be an unknown case going on, there will be another person hated me. She pushed all the responsible to me, spoiling my reputation and she saved her own ass from being blame. I am totally given up from the people around me and I no longer want to feedback as I am tired of it. I just feel that I am in the wrong track with this project and I feel like living the ITE ASAP…

NDV Award Ceremony

Today after school, we went to cafe 1 for lunch and wait for Mr Joel. Waited for him for very very long as per normal, but this time none of us can contact him. So we wondering will we be late for the Award ceremony held at the National Museum by the National Heritage Board.

Soon we decided to send email to the company for sponsorship rather than wasting time. As some are sending, the rest make their call to Mr Joel, finally we get him. Then he told me to get Blazer for everyone from the Student Council. It was so sudden and I am having hard time loaning it.

Soon after that, we took taxi to the National Museum. When we reach there, it was just nice. When the Award ceremony start, we saw Kit Chen the singer as the Guess of Honour. Surprising, it don't since to look like her in the television. As what an event will normally do, we listen to their speech, it was an long one. Around the end on it, we get our award, the 2nd/first runner up for the video competition. and after that, we see through the top 3 video. This time I have a better feel with the 'Singapore Bagus!'. Felt proud to present it.

When the event ended, we took photos and have our dinner there. Till we are really full then leave. As we are making our way to the nearby MRT station, we decided to go to the Starbuck and chat first before we go home.

Happy 42nd Birthday Singapore! Today the school will be celebrating the National Day therefore it is only half day school. Well it was rather fun this year and our group video of National Day had been showcase at the Auditorium.

After the event, we went up to the DMA lab and complete the DVD combine cover with DVD label. Design a copy and thanks to Ms Terrez that help me re-edit it to make it more presentable. Throughout the period, I learnt and recap some skills of designing.

Overall process was till late night 9pm+. Haiz....still is the manpower problem. Questioning me why my group members can don't come and leave early when I am doing continuously? Some said family problem, no money but still can paint their house, really too much of taking advantage of our kindness for leaving early. The other one said Sunday last day of work, but today said got training, What is that! Isn't it still related to the work? The other one always wanted to leave early, must stay back in pairs. Kept on saying want to go home, isn't that too much, I am also student, I didn't get any pay and what make you so special? Last of all, if you say you going to work for any part of the project, be responsible to finish it and don't come and say too much work lot because I am sure that I am working extra harder than what you are. The above words are wrote for everyone to see and I won't feel too much or sorry for it. By the way, this people that did that to the group are even too much. Can't you all grow up to be more responsible?

On the other hand, good news of this Friday there will be a prize giving day for the entry of National Day Video Competition. We got the 2nd prize!

CommunityFiesta

Last time got one Fun Fiesta, now got one Community Fiesta. Wa....student should be very tired ba. Especially for me, always kana event. Anyway this Community Fiesta is equal to Open House which held on 3 and 4 of August. This 2 days will repay ITE College East student a Monday holiday, but I think still not worth it. Work 2 days, rest 1 day.

Well within the 2 days there are good news around. As for Friday evening, we went to National Heritage Board and submit the Singapore Bagus video to be shown in TV.

Then Saturday it was a busy day for me as I went to school in the morning, went to Bedok Reservoir in the afternoon and at night I suppose to go to support my brother competition dance but I push that away and go for hair cut due insufficient time, but the good news was my brother got first in the competition.

Will be winning $13,000 amount his team-mate, each will have a Nokia phone and all will go overseas. Wow....my video competition at most only $5,000.

After working on this National Day video for school, we finally finish it. This joint production with Lifeskills Department had been a wonderful experience. Going around the school for shoot have been a fun thing ever compare to the previous video we had done within the school.

After working on the National Day video, I decided to leave early due to my mum birthday. Hmm.....it was around 8pm+ when my brothday came and fetch me. Once again we went out for dinner. This time we went to Chinatown a restaurant called Tian Jin (UNITED) to eat. Well it was so suprise that the restaurant had no people cause it is at the second floor and payment at the first floor. The build of the restaurant is very traditional of China feel. Total dish order cost $100+.

Next, my second brother went back to pratice his dance due to this Saturday competition. Therefore 4 of us went to have a walk before going home. We reach a mountain top, oops Singapore don't have mountain only have hill. Well seeing the night view from the top, nice environment but still got trees blocking. On the way back, my mum and I were sleeping in the car. So tired ar... ...
